Maybe there won't be construction!

I was able to design the space I want, and it was quiet a challenge, and I got it into the budget I wanted, and now I'm done. I don't feel I have to do it. It won't make my life any better. The fun was the design challenge. Yes, it would be nice to have a new space, but who cares.

But in the spirit of the New Year, a purge and some considerations.

Many rocks went - those that were duplicates, those that I had bought, those that were too much.

And the considerations - I am holding on to many serving pieces that were my mother's anticipating that one day my daughter will use them. She is already 21, and will eventually move out and need some basic casseroles, etc. It's good, not frivolous stuff. But then again, to me it has ties, connections, to my mom and family meals, which were good times. Every time I look at them, I envision myself at the table with my parents, with my family, and the good feelings (mostly). And they're gone and nothing has really come in to replace them.
